BTP has launched a CCTV appeal
Police are appealing for information after a crew member was assaulted by a group of London train passengers. He was hurt whilst attempting to stop a fight between two men at Birmingham International station on September 13.
Earlier in the journey, a man was punched and kicked onto the floor by three others. The fight was broken up, and the man who was set upon then got into a fight with two other men.
However, the skirmish later spiralled out onto the platform, injuring a train guard in the process. The British Transport Police (BTP) has now released images of four men they want to speak to in connection.
A statement reads: “Officers believe the men in the images may have information which could help their investigation into these incidents.”
The CCTV footage shows a group ranging from approximately their early forties to early sixties. One of the men, of heavier build, is wearing a distinctive t-shirt with a Dsquared2 Milano slogan.
The London to Birmingham service departed the capital sometime before 8pm.
Anyone who recognises them is urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 743 of 13 September. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111 or the charity’s website.
