A suspect has been arrested and charged
A man who died from head injuries in North London, prompting a murder investigation, has been pictured for the first time. Jalal Khan, 76, was found with head injuries after police were called at 11.07am on Thursday, October 30, to reports of a robbery and assault on High Street, Ponders End.
He died in the hospital yesterday (Wednesday, November 19). His family have asked for privacy and are being supported by specialist officers.
Jaesis Boatswain, 40, of Swan Walk, Enfield, was charged with grievous bodily harm, assault, robbery and threatening a person with a knife on Thursday, November 6.
He appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 6, and was remanded into custody. His will next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday, December 10.
