Tesco have brought back their Christmas markets at stores across the country, but people are running to the event for a reason you’d least expect. This year 164 Tesco stores across the UK will have an area of the car park transformed into a Christmas market full of magic.

The market gives people the chance to try free food and drink samples and get festive inspiration to perfect Christmas celebrations at home with family and friends. It is also the perfect way to spend time with family and friends and take part in a festive activity without a huge price tag.

Some of the brands working with the event include Costa Express, teapigs, Lindt and Doritos among a number of others.

But people, including TikTok user Cissy Jones, have found themselves wanting to head to the event for a “huge” free goodie bag.

Cissy said: “If your Tesco has the Christmas market, go get your goodies. How cute and fun, and how GOOD is the bag!!

“I bought two packets of toffifees to get the goodie bag! Was about £3.50. Could get mince pies, celebration boxes etc!! Then the extra freebies at the stalls don’t need to buy anything.”

The video showed Cissy Jones picking up the large goodie bag and showing its contents to the camera. The bag included Baileys squirty cream, a Lindt chocolate bunny, Chocomel, toilet paper and cider among other goodies.

The Tesco Christmas market will be running between 11.30am and 7pm Monday to Saturday, and some stores market will be open on Sunday between 11am and 4pm.

According to commenters, the goodie bags are on a first come first serve basis and run out very quickly.

One user said: “Nooo this was my best kept secret last year!!! But they only do it for like 10-15 minutes you’ve got to time it right haha.”

Cissy replied: “They only do the goodie bags for 15 mins?! I suppose until they are all gone yeah?!?! I got there at 11.25AM. Wasn’t a queue or anything.”

Another user said: “I cannot WAIT for this Christmas market to start at my local Tesco!! SO exciting.”
