Person ‘hit over head with bottle’ on Victoria line asked to come forward

A person was allegedly hit over the head with a bottle on the Victoria line in a suspected transphobic assault. Police are encouraging the victim to get in contact with them regarding the incident.

A third party reported seeing the suspect get on the train at King’s Cross and say a homophobic remark at around 3am on Saturday, October 25. He then allegedly began harassing a person and hit them on the head with a glass bottle before leaving the train.

The victim is said to have sustained a head injury that was bleeding. Police have conducted hospital checks alongside other enquiries to identify the victim. They would like to speak to them and are urging them to come forward so that they can check their welfare and progress their enquiries.

Police are also working to identify the suspect, who is described as a light-skinned Black man, aged from his late 20s to mid-30s, with afro-style hair. He was wearing a black puffer jacket, with a grey hoodie under it and a black woolly hat.
