A Vinted user opened her parcel and was stunned when she found a handwritten note inside from the previous owner that described the second hand dresses’ hidden past

A Vinted shopper was stunned after finding a handwritten note with a dress she bought on the platform. Solène from London, who posts on TikTok under the handle @solene_rose, posted a video on the social media platform to show off a new Karen Millen red sequin dress she got on Vinted.

The dress goes all the way to the floor, has a low back and is completely covered in sequins and applique. But when Solène opened the parcel she was surprised to find a handwritten note inside from the seller called Ann.

Solène said: “Guys two things, look at this dress I got from Vinted, but secondly and more importantly, look at the note that got left. I actually can’t cope.

“This was Ann’s dress back in the day. So she said ‘I hope you enjoy wearing my dress, it was one of my favourites but I’m now too old and fat for such a slinky style,’ which is obviously not true Ann, never true.”

Ann’s letter continued: “I was even photographed in it in Hello! Magazine many years ago, I hope you can wear it to lots of Christmas parties and have as much fun in it as I did. Best wishes Ann.”

Solène said: “Ann I need to see you in this dress, I need to see the Hello magazine pictures, but also thank you because it’s stunning.”
