Dog lover Isabel Klee has shared the moment she and her partner realised that their foster dog Whimsy had strong opinions regarding the couple’s music taste, which left others in tears
A pair of dog owners were left in hysterics after realising their foster dog had a unique music preference, which have left people wonder why.
Dogs are funny creatures who often have no problem expressing their thoughts and opinion, even if we don’t speak the same language. Instead, they might be wagging their tail or seeking attention when they’re happy and content with something. Meanwhile, their body language completely change to being more reserved or flatten their ears back if they’re unhappy. While dogs might have a preference on their favourite food, one dog owning couple were shocked when they realised their foster pup had a strong preference regarding music.
Taking to TikTok, Isabel Klee, who has over one million followers on the platform, shared a video of the moment she and her fiancé realised that their foster dog Whimsy had strong opinions regarding the band Creed.
“So, last week, my fiancé and I discovered that our foster dog loves when we sing to her,” she wrote on the video. “But she distinctly hated when my fiancé sang Creed.”
The video then cut to the couple sitting on the sofa with the pup in question trying to hide in the woman’s arms as the man was singing the 1999 song ‘With Arms Wide Open’ by Creed. Whimsy clearly wasn’t a fan as she looked up to the woman with her paw against her arm, clearly wanting her to tell him to stop singing.
Isabel then went on to explain that she and her partner had decided to put Whimsy’s music taste to the test, as the man went on to sing different songs, some by Creed, just to see how the dog would react.
For the first song, the man was signing Bennie and the Jets, but changing out the name Bennie for Whimsy. It was clear that the pup was enjoying this song more than the Creed song, as she quickly jumped off the sofa to get to the man in the kitchen while wagging her tail as he continued to sing for her.
The video then cut to another moment when Whimsy was back on the sofa before rushing back to the man singing in the kitchen, now having opted for Miss You by Blink-182. Again, as the dog was clearly loving the song, the man also managed to include Whimsy’s name in the song, which earned him eager tail wagging.
So clearly, Whimsy does love it when people sing. So maybe the reaction to the Creed song was just a one off thing? To test it again, as Whimsy was back on the sofa, the man once again started to sing the same Creed song as he did at the start of the video.
This time, Whimsy stayed on the sofa with Isabel, looking over at the man in the kitchen before turning around to seek comfort in Isabel, which made her laugh.
“She’s like ‘mom make it stop’,” Isabel said as she turned the camera to show Whimsy cuddling up as close to her as possible to seek comfort. “Oh my God, she really hates Creed.”
And the two dog owners weren’t the only ones who found this hilarious, as several viewers soon took to the comment section to share their thought, with some theorising as to why Whimsy disliked Creed.
“Her name isn’t in the creed song,” one person said, while another added: “It’s because you DIDNT PUT HER NAME IN THE CREED LYRICS! Jesus. Never had a chance.”
Another suggested: “Have him sing creed in a higher voice. Maybe it’s the tone. The other two were higher pitched.”
