McDonald’s will be making changes to its menu from next week, with 11 items set to be removed from restaurants across the UK as the chain launches its festive menu

McDonald’s has confirmed it’s scrapping 11 items from its menu next week, including a pair of burgers. The fast food giant will be dropping products from its “World Menu Heist” range, which first launched in restaurants back in October.

Among the cuts are the Maple barbecue Double Quarter Pounder, Pineapple McSpicy, Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets and Soy Dip, according to The Sun.

Customers will also lose the chance to order: Mac N Cheese Triangles, Sour Cream and Black Pepper Shaker Fries, the Chocolate Pretzel McFlurry, and the Caramel Pretzel McFlurry. The Choco Caramel Pie, Sakura X Sprite and Apple X Sprite are being axed too.

The beloved Honeycomb Latte, which wasn’t included in the “World Menu Heist” selection, is also set to vanish from menus next Tuesday, reports the Manchester Evening News.

This follows McDonald’s announcement last week that it’s rolling out 18 new items in the lead-up to Christmas. From Wednesday (November 26), McDonald’s will be rolling out a host of festive treats, including seasonal fries, burgers, drinks, desserts and sides.

Among the new offerings is The Grinch Meal, available as a Big Mac, McPlant meal or a nine chicken nuggets meal. This deal also includes the new Grinched McShaker Fries, which offer a gherkin twist on the classic fries, along with a drink and a pair of limited-edition Mismatched Grinch x McDonald’s Socks.

The fast-food giant will also be introducing a range of new festive-themed beverages. These include the Frozen Grinch Lemonade, featuring a Grinch-green melon swirl, and two winter warmers – the Coconut Latte and Coconut Hot Chocolate.

For those who fancy something cold despite the chilly weather, the chain will be launching the Mischief McFlurry and the Chocolate Brownie McFlurry. The Mischief McFlurry will feature festive smarties, Christmas trees and a fruity strawberry sauce. The Chocolate Brownie McFlurry will combine chocolate brownie pieces and chocolate sauce with the chain’s classic ice cream.

The fast food giant is also set to introduce the Grumble Pie, a delightful mix of apple, cranberries and custard encased in a crispy green pastry. In addition, McDonald’s has announced that the new Cheesy Chicken Stack will be making its festive debut this winter, boasting a 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating, layered with cheese, lettuce and a warming chipotle salsa.

Making a comeback to the menu is the Big Tasty, with customers also having the option to upgrade to the Double Big Tasty, alongside the Cheese Melt Dippers.
