BedSure’s electric heated throw has kept me so warm this winter I’ve barely had to turn the heating on, and it’s now got a huge 30% off in the Cyber Weekend sale
The cold winter weather is firmly settling in, and even the milder days are leaving us feeling chilly at home. However, with energy bills still rising, we’re all looking for ways to keep costs down, which is why this Bedsure Heated Blanket has been a saviour in my household.
The ultra soft and cosy throw has become a firm favourite with everyone from me to my pets, and it’s a common occurrence to find the cats or dogs huddled up either on top of it or underneath, even when it’s not switched on. In fact it’s so warm when turned on that it means I’ve barely had to turn the heating on at all so far this autumn and winter, and have instead chosen to snuggle up under the blanket for a few hours.

You can currently get your hands on the Bedsure Heated Blanket with a 31% discount thanks to Amazon’s Black Friday and Cyber Weekend sale. You can choose from 12 different colours, with some shades priced slightly differently to others (although all have the 31% discount). The most affordable pick is the grey colourway, which has been slashed from £47.99 to £32.99.
The Bedsure Heated Blanket has six different temperature settings, with the highest one being so warm that I’ve only had to crank it up to that on a couple of occasions. Otherwise, the middle ground of three or four has been perfect, keeping the cold at bay without leaving me feeling like I’m overheating.
There’s also 10 different time settings, from one hour up to 10 hours, and it has an automatic shut off which means you don’t need to worry about leaving it on or it overheating. The 120W low power consumption also means it’s easy on your energy bills, so you can have it on for much, much longer than your heating without racking up anywhere near the same costs.
It measures 130cm by 160cm which is big enough to cover a whole sofa and fit two people underneath, and you don’t need to worry about spills, stains or smells as it can be detached from the controller and placed in the washing machine. You simply wash the Bedsure Heated Blanket at 30°C, leave it out to air dry, then pop it back on your sofa or bed.
One of my favourite things about it is the double sided material, which lets you switch up how it looks as well as making sure you’re comfy and cosy enough no matter which side up you have it. It also comes in plenty of different colours so you can pick one that suits your room’s decor – although we picked white to avoid showing too many pet hairs!
It is slightly on the thin side, so although it keeps you incredibly warm when switched on, it won’t be extra cosy as a regular blanket. However, the thinness means that you can keep it on your bed or sofa year-round as a lightweight throw in the summer, then switch it on for that added warmth in winter.
Other brands have also slashed their cosy heated throws in the Cyber Weekend sales, like Lakeland which has dropped the StaySnug Velvety Taupe Heated Throw to £29.99 from £39.99. You could also pick up Silentnight’s Luxury Heated Throw for £36 down from £45 at Boots, or the M&S Ribbed Fleece Electric Throw which has dropped from £59 to £47.20.
