A crash on the M25 is causing traffic chaos this evening with reports of 90-minute delays and 11 miles of tailbacks.
Two lanes were closed after a collision on the clockwise carriageway between junction 29 near Upminster and junction 30 at Aveley, Essex. National Highways is currently reporting 90-minute delays, with the scene unlikely to be cleared before 7.30pm.
Traffic monitoring company Inrix first reported the incident at around 4.30pm. Traffic was initially held, before two lanes were closed.
The lanes reopened before 5.40pm, but delays of approximately one hour and 40 minutes were still being reported at that time.
