A teenager has told how the ‘worrying’ behaviour from his eight-year-old sister’s 40-something teacher has made him feel ’embarrassed’ due to the huge age gap between them
A teenager has told how the ‘inappropriate’ behaviour of his eight-year-old sister’s teacher had left him feeling ‘weird.’ After telling how he always picks his sister up from school as their parents worked late, he admitted that he had sensed for a while that her 40-something teacher had acted differently towards him as opposed to the other parents.
She said: “I see her teacher every day. She always talks to me longer than she does to any of the other parents,” he said. “She’s always complimenting me and her demeanour seems to change. She goes from talking normally and briefly to other parents to being overly smiley and giggly to me.”
With his little sister tells him her teacher always asks her about him, such as what he does for work or for fun, she then told her brother she had said to her: “She can tell we’re related because we are both so cute.”

And while he initially laughed off the school pick-up situation, her latest comment to his sister had left him questioning her motives: “On Friday she asked her if I had a girlfriend. And correct me if I’m wrong, but, people only ask that about someone if they like them, right?”
He continued: “I am not interested in dating my sister’s teacher at all and I am honestly starting to get super weirded out. Also, I’m sure she doesn’t know my exact age, but I’m definitely not passable for a grown adult yet!”
After telling his tale on Reddit, it sparked an online debate about the inappropriate nature of the teacher’s behaviour: “I have a problem with her questioning your sister. That’s very inappropriate,” said one, while another said: “That’s straight up creepy of her.”
Another agreed, commenting: “She’s a creep. What kind of 40-year-old flirts with a teenagers? She should meet people outside of her work.” “This is totally inappropriate,” fumed another. “As a teacher she KNOWS that she shouldn’t ask her students personal questions. I would report her.”
