Bickley station stabbing sees boy, 15, charged after man knifed in Bromley attack

A 15-year-old boy has been charged by police after a man was stabbed near Bickley station. Officers were called to the South East London station shortly before 3pm on Sunday, April 14.

They arrived in nearby Southborough Road to find a man had been stabbed. Armed officers from British Transport Police (BTP) responded to the incident, along with Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

The victim was rushed to hospital with injuries where he remains. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening. An update from BTP reads: “A boy aged 15, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with GBH with intent following an incident at Bickley railway station on 14 April. He is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates Court today (April 16).”

Officers have increased high visibility patrols in the area to reassure residents. Any witnesses who haven’t already spoken to police can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 408 of 14/04/24. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
