A Croydon Barclays bank has been defaced by pro-Palestine protesters. Police rushed to North End, Croydon, at around 1.45am on Thursday morning (April 18) to reports of criminal damage after a pro-Palestine message was sprayed onto the building’s front.
But by the time officers arrived the suspects had fled the scene. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
Photos show the aftermath of the damage, with the front doors completely smashed in and the ‘Barclays’ logo face-down. Across other windows protesters sprayed “free Palestine, stop funding Elbit’. Elbit Systems is a contentious, Israel-based defence contractor.
