Prince Harry has been dubbed “Prince Charming” by fans after they spotted his sweet gesture to wife Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had their relationship put under intense scrutiny since they went public in November 2016, and critics of their union have called Meghan “clingy”, as the couple often hold hands while at public events. However, a viral video shows Harry making repeated moves to hold his wife’s hand, and fans have heaped praise on the 39-year-old for being an adoring husband.
The compilation features a series of clips from events the couple attended together, with many from their days as senior working royals, before they stepped down from the Royal Family in January 2020. Harry’s public displays of affection didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed fans, who spotted that the father-of-two always offered up his hand to Meghan, and many suggested it was his way of supporting his wife as they were the focus of attention. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were heavily criticised for seemingly ignoring royal protocol back in September 2022, when they held hands while exiting a service for the late Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Hall following her death.

The couple were also blasted for holding hands while arriving at the funeral of Harry’s beloved grandmother just a few days later, however President Joe Biden was not criticised for holding his wife Jill Biden’s hand while arriving and leaving the emotional ceremony at Westminster Abbey. In a video posted on TikTok by user @bright_zwide, Harry’s touching gesture of offering up his hand to wife Meghan was doted on by loyal fans in the comments.
“Meg found her Mr. Right,” the video was captioned, with many followers echoing those sentiments. “That’s not ‘clinging’….that’s love & respect,” one wrote, as another agreed: “She got herself a real Prince Charming and he got a beautiful woman who really loves him.” While one commented: “He is such a protector and she allows herself to be protected. So so beautiful.”
