Lad tries to get off plane as mate tricks him into thinking flight is going to Ibiza

A furious lad tried to get off the plane after his friend tricked him into thinking he was going to Ibiza.

Graham, 38, regularly travels to Benidorm with his friend Darren, 48, and the pair have become notorious for their antics which they share on their respective TikTok channels, @grumet_benidorm and @dazza_bigdogbenidorm.

However, on a recent trip Darren vowed never to return to the party town after accidentally getting in trouble with Spanish authorities. The duo claim Darren raced to split up a fight but received a grilling from the Spanish police on their last visit. His decision left Graham devastated, but the lad found a loophole and promised his friend a new location; Ibiza.

The pair, both from Middlesbrough, arrived at the airport but Graham held onto Darren’s boarding pass so he was unaware of the location he was travelling to. When the pilot welcomed passengers onboard to the flight to ‘Alicante’, Darren freaked out.

In the hilarious clip, the 48-year-old can be seen trying to undo his seatbelt. He then asks staff if he can get off the plane. In a bid to calm him down, Graham reassures Darren they will need to take a ferry to Ibiza once they land. Other passengers appear to be laughing at the pair as they argue.

The clip, shared on TikTok, quickly went viral with many commenters spotting that other passengers’ reactions were just as funny as Darren’s.

One person, called Karl, said: “It’s the random person sitting in between you that gets me.” Another added: “The bloke earwigging makes it more funny.” Meanwhile one viewer named Ash quipped: “When he sang ‘Oh, we’re going to Ibiza’, that killed me.”.

Luckily, Darren ultimately saw the funny side, with Graham adding that he took the prank well, and the pair are now making the most of their holiday.

He told What’sTheJam: “He vowed never to go back to Benidorm so a few months past I made out we were going to Ibiza. His boarding pass was on my phone and I waited until the last minute before we went to the boarding gate. We rushed through so he didn’t see anything with Alicante written on it.

“The pilot came on saying Alicante he jumped up trying to get off but I told him Ibiza is an island you have to get a ferry from Denya which is 50 minutes away from Alicante.”

This summer, Brits heading on Spain holidays may want to take note of a host of new tourist rules in place in recent years – including restrictions in Ibiza and Majorca including six-drink limits in all-inclusive hotels.

It’s also worth noting that post-Brexit, Brits have been warned they may need documents alongside their passports too. This includes a valid return or onward ticket, such as the return leg of a plane ticket. Travellers might also need to show proof of where they’re staying, like a hotel booking receipt or an address if they’re visiting a second home or friends or family. They can show a paper copy of their booking or an email on their phone.

Tourists may also be asked to show proof that they have enough money for their stay. The Spanish government’s website says the current minimum amount expected per person per day is €113.40, which is about ÂŁ97.
