Beyonce’s cowboycore aesthetic is still going strong, and this pair of £38 cherry red cowboy boots are the perfect way to nail two of spring’s biggest trends in one

Thanks to Beyonce everyone has gone wild for the cowboycore fashion trend and nothing says western vibes like a pair of cowboy boots. With red being one of this season’s hottest colours, it makes perfect sense that the two go hand in hand to create one of the must-have statement shoes around – cherry red cowboy boots.

As a die hard fan of a great pair of cowboy boots, this is definitely a look I can get behind, and I’ve set my sights on the perfect affordable pair to get the look; PrettyLittleThing’s Cherry Red Pu Point Toe Low Block Heel Stitched Western Boots, £38 here .

The boots have all the hallmarks of a classic pair of western boots, with a block cuban heel and pointed toes and a wide leg shaft that means they can be worn over or under just about any style of trousers. They also have the signature patterned stitching in a contrasting white colour, with pull tabs at the top to make it easier to get them on and off.

The boots are also a great length that’ll flatter any body type, as they stop below the knee which helps elongate your legs. It also means they’ll look great with almost any outfit, as you can style them in just about any way to create a bold, statement-making look.

Personally I love the look of a cowboy boot with a pair of denim shorts – preferably loose fitting with frayed hems. You can team them with a simple white T-shirt and a neckerchief to get a true country look, or wear with an oversized band T-shirt and some aviator sunglasses for a cooler, edgier vibe.

Cowboy boots also work well under midi and maxi hemlines, and I can absolutely see these working well with a floral midi dress for cooler spring days or with a mesh maxi skirt that allows the colour to pop through. They’ll also pair perfect with a denim midi skirt – another of spring’s biggest fashion trends – or even a pair of leather trousers or a knitted dress in the cooler months, proving they’ll have plenty of longevity in your wardrobe.

The PLT boots are currently available in sizes 3-8, and if red’s not your colour you can also get them in either cream or a metallic silver colourway. They’re made from faux leather with a slightly patent finish, and have a subtle zip fastening on the inside which makes them even easier to get on and off.

If you prefer real leather when it comes to your footwear, these UO Red Leather Dallas Cowboy Boots, £82 here, from Urban Outfitters are a great alternative. They have a slightly faded, lived-in look that gives them a cool vintage vibe, and are made from 100% real leather.
