It has been speculated by a PR expert that Meghan Markle could be ‘trying to avoid the Royal Family’ after she snubbed Prince Harry’s Invictus Games event last week
Meghan Markle is seemingly “trying to avoid the Royal Family” after she met her husband Prince Harry at the airport in London before they headed on their Nigeria trip.
The Sussexes landed in Nigeria in the early hours of Friday morning, but before they jetted to the West African country they reunited at Heathrow, with Meghan landing on Thursday from Los Angeles.
Meghan was seen waiting for Harry at the airport in the VIP Windsor Suite. The couple then both boarded the British Airways overnight flight to Abuja.

After the news emerged that Meghan had been in the UK after snubbing making a trip to the capital city for her husband’s Invictus Games event at St Paul’s Cathedral the night before, fans and critics have wondered why if she could travel to London for that, why couldn’t she join him for the actual trip.
PR expert Ryan McCormick from Goldman McCormick Public Relations has exclusively spoken to The Mirror, with him revealing his thoughts on why the Duchess likely didn’t come to England for the entirety of her husband’s very brief trip.
“Meghan may have her new company and other ventures as top priorities,” Mr McCormick told us, referring to Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and the two Netflix shows she and her husband are currently working on. He then added: “Making a public appearance with Harry may have been done to show face and quell potential rumors of marital unrest.”
Mr McCormick then offered a possible reason as to why Meghan snubbed making a proper visit to England, revealing: “Also, by not going to London it shows that the Duchess seems to be trying to avoid the Royal Family.”
This comes after Harry reportedly turned down an offer to stay at a royal residence on his brief UK visit, amid reports that King Charles was “too busy” to see him. On Tuesday, shortly after Harry arrived in the UK, a spokesperson for the Duke said: “It, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.
“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
