Pupils across the UK will be sitting various examinations until June 19, which are used to determine the college and studies they will take as they transition onto further education. In England, students will be given additional help in Maths and Science in recognition of the disruption they faced during the pandemic.
It marks the last year GCSE students will be handed formulae and equation sheets alongside the question papers. According to statistics from Ofqual, the hardest GCSE exam is Maths, followed by Art & Design, English Language, Citizenship Studies, and Geography.
