The Adonola tee is said to ‘suck you in’ with shoppers saying they receive compliments each time they wear it
If there’s one wardrobe staple you should be buying in time for summer, it’s the simple but infinitely versatile plain white T-shirt. However, finding one that’s good quality, holds its shape and doesn’t fade in the wash can be quite a challenge.
Loose Women’s Frankie Bridge has been on a mission to find the perfect white tees for the warm weather, including one she’s tipped as ‘an amazing alternative’ to Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand. The 35-year-old took to Instagram with her latest ‘Faves’ round up – a series she’s ran every Sunday for five years – and shared her top picks, including white bodysuits, skirts and more.
But it was Adonola’s Short Sleeve Top that captured the attention of The Mirror’s fashion team for its ‘sculpting’ fit and ‘soft’ fabric, not to mention how great it looked on the former Saturdays singer.

The mum-of-two styled the tee with a long denim maxi skirt from Mango, cropped leather bomber jacket from ASOS, and black heels for an effortlessly cool look. Speaking about the top, she said: “The sculpting T-shirt is perfect if you want a tighter fit and need it to sit smoothly under your clothes. This one is so smooth and has a great amount of stretch. If you’ve been trying to get your hands on the sell-out Skims version then this one is an amazing alternative and a much better price point.”
The £34.99 top comes in eight sizes from XXS to XXXL, and features 95 per cent cotton and 5 per cent Spandex to offer a ‘form fitting’ silhouette. By comparison, the Skims Fits Everyone t-shirt comes in at £48, and is made from 76 per cent polyamide and 24 per cent elastane.
Available in nine sizes, the hugely popular white Skims tee is completely sold out. But fear not, because shoppers have been heaping praise on the Adonola sculpting top, with a near-perfect 4.7 star rating out of five.
One shopper hailed it a ‘Skims dupe’ adding: “This top is a great basic to add to your capsule wardrobe. Buttery soft material and fits like a glove.” Another added: “So comfortable, so flattering and the texture is just *chefs kiss*. When I’ve hugged someone while wearing it, I always get a comment after about the shirt.”
A third penned: “Most flattering shirt, sucks you right in,” but one said it was on the sheer side, which may not be for everyone. They said: “Great fit, slightly see through but I still love it.”
