The M&S sandals are a great alternative to a £400 Gucci pair that has similar features
Marks and Spencer’s shoppers are loving a pair of black leather sandals that are similar to a £400 designer Gucci pair. The M&S Wide Fit Leather Strappy Sandals are £350.50 cheaper, priced at £49.50.
The M&S leather sandals, which also come in tan, are available in sizes 3 to 8. Asos is selling similar black Schuh Tina Sandals for £50, and John Lewis is offering black HUSH Brisa Flat Leather Sandals for £99.
The classic, versatile design of the M&S sandals means they can be worn with any outfit, allowing the wearer to dress them up or down whatever the occasion. They are in a fisherman style with chunky straps going across the foot, similar to a pricier pair by luxury brand Gucci.

They also boast a comfy flat sole with a very small heel that’s ideal for someone looking for a bit of extra height without having to compromise on comfort. The silver fastening on the M&S sandals is similar to Gucci’s too, however the designer pair features gold detailing.
Both pairs of sandals have a semi-closed toe and a chunky strap across the heel to ensure the footwear stays put and to offer ultimate comfort. M&S shoppers are loving the leather sandals, with one reviewer saying: “Classy. Sleek design, wide fit option, soft leather, good price point, versatile, feel nice and secure on your feet. Lots of wins with these beauties.”
Another said: “Gorgeous soft and supple sandals perfect fit, I’m normally a 6 in a normal shoe but a 5 fits perfect in this wide fitting shoe.”
One shopper wrote: “Comfy and stylish. Bought the tan ones which are a lighter shade than they appear in the pictures but they look great with the slouchy jeans in indigo from M&S. The padded sole makes them very comfortable.”
Someone else commented: “Great for the summer. I wanted these last year but they sold out fast. Do not disappoint. Excellent quality and fit.”
Sadly, not everyone is a fan of the sandals, and one person even had to return them. They explained: “Beautiful, well made sandals. Exactly what I’m looking for but sadly only in wide fit. So I am sending them back as they are too wide and baggy. Please do regular fit M&S.”
