Eyes can be the first things we notice in people, but one person’s has left people totally stumped. People just can’t agree on the exact tone of their eyes, and it’s blowing people’s minds
Every now and then something leaves the internet stumped – and it’s happened again.
Many people online have been left in total confusion after someone shared a photo of their eyes on Reddit.
It seems people can’t agree on the colour of their eyes, and it’s left the Reddit community it meltdown.
The person in question shared a snap of their eyes alongside the caption: “Trying to settle an argument. What is my eye colour?”
It’s left people confused as the person’s eyes appear to be multicoloured, and many different suggestions have been put forward since the post went viral on the site.
Many people seemed to think they looked blue, but others beg to differ. One even claimed the person must be a “god” as the eyes are such an “angelic green” colour.
Someone wrote “In day to day life they read blue. They do have a teal-ish vibe to them. I have a similar thing with my eyes, but overall I still call it blue.”
Another wrote: “It’s the lighting, I personally think if you’re up close with a light you see the actual colour.
“If it’s dark, that’s not the true colour. Personally, the splotch doesn’t make it hazel I think it needs to be a smidge more mixed variation but I’m no expert haha. Since it is more central the brown I think a tiny bit central heterochromia versus hazel.”
A third replied: “Not grey. My son and many family members have grey eyes. It’s close but it’s light blue. Heck even a little green where the gold and blue mix. Your eyes are lovely!”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Woah your eyes are identical to mine! I have the same question lol. I think what’s going on here is a darker blue with a slight central heterochromia.
“When you have a dark limbal ring like this the whole eye appears more dynamic and can be hard to tell.”
Whatever your thoughts are on the topic, it’s clear there are lots of different opinions. When it comes to eye colour, it turns out we all see things a little differently.
