Pre-booking alternatives to airport parking with YourParkingSpace could save drivers as much as £262 at airports including London Gatwick, London Heathrow, and Manchester

Unlucky drivers who find themselves with a parking ticket could now bag themselves a total refund, thanks to YourParkingSpace.

There are few things more infuriating than returning to your vehicle at the end of a perfect day out or holiday to find a ticket slapped on the windscreen, or receiving a fixed penalty notice through the post after being snapped by an ANPR camera.

The numbers bear out how easy it can be to get your parking wrong, whether that be through forgetting when the timer on your paid-for-ticket runs out, misunderstanding the often confusing description on a parking sign or typing your details incorrectly into an online portal.

New data reveal that almost half of UK motorists have received a parking charge notice at some point. The good news for those who have more recently, is that YourParkingSpace has launched the PCN Lottery, meaning you’re in with a chance of getting some money back.

Motorists who have received a parking charge notice (PCN) in the last 12 months from any parking enforcement company in the UK can enter the PCN Lottery. If they are that day’s lucky winner, then the whole fine will be paid off.

Everyone who enters the competition will receive a £5 parking credit just for submitting, meaning everyone has something to gain. You can enter the PCN lottery on yourparkingspace.co.uk.

Brannan Coady, CEO of YourParkingSpace – the company behind the PCN Lottery – said: “With nearly half of motorists stating that they have received a parking fine and over two-thirds admitting to receiving three of more parking fines at some point, we hope to bring a little bit of relief to those who have been fined at a time when purse strings are tight for so many UK motorists.”

After entering the lottery and receiving the £5 credit, you can use it to book a spot on YourParkingSpace. The firm has thousands of spaces across the UK that often cost less money than official car parks.

If you are heading away on holiday this summer, then it is well worth checking out some of the spaces available close to the airport,

Pre-booking alternatives to airport parking could save drivers as much as 77% across three of the UK’s busiest airports – London Gatwick, London Heathrow, and Manchester – for a two-week period.

A comparison of official airport parking spaces with those on YourParkingSpace within 1.5miles of the three airports during the recent Easter Holidays shows drivers could save £262.25 at Gatwick, £243.62 at Heathrow and £46.34 at Manchester.

In addition to saving potentially hundreds of pounds in parking charges, pre-booking could also remove a lot of unnecessary airport stress, by guaranteeing a parking space is available upon your arrival.
