Dyson is currently offering customers the chance to bag a bargain on a new vacuum when they hand over their current cleaner.

If your current vacuum is no longer busting the dust then now could be a good time to switch things up. Dyson has launched a limited-time deal that’s offering customers the chance to hand over their ageing cleaners and get money off a brand-new machine including the clever Dyson Gen5detect. This device comes with a futuristic laser head that shows if you’ve missed any muck during the weekly clean. A smart screen on the top reveals exactly how much filth has been removed from your floors and you also get an impressive 70 minutes of run time which should be enough for most homes.

Other Dyson vacuums that feature the discount include the V12 Detect Slim and V15 Detect Absolute +.

So how does the trade-in work and how much will get off the new cleaners?

Firstly, you’ll need to own an old Dyson with the UK company only offering trade-in on one of its own-brand machines. Models that can be handed over include the Dyson V6, Dyson V7, Dyson V8, Dyson Cyclone V10 and Dyson V11.

A full list can be found here.

If your current Dyson is named then you’ll be offered a £100 voucher which can then be used to reduce the price of the latest vacuums.

The only other thing to be aware of is that the deal is only available this month so you need to act fast to take advantage.

As well as saving you money, Dyson is also promising to keep waste down to a minimum by either refurbishing the vacuums handed in or getting them sent to an accredited facility that will break down the machine for parts and recycle accordingly.

“We’re committed to help protect our environment, in the way we design, manufacture, and distribute our products. Once returned to us, your machine will either be expertly refurbished, used for parts or recycled,” Dyson confirmed.
