A woman has been left outraged after her ‘entitled’ neighbour stole her parking space – saying it doesn’t matter that she doesn’t own a car, she pays to keep it empty

A woman has branded her neighbour as ‘entitled’ for stealing her empty parking space without first asking permission. She explained how she doesn’t own a car but pays for the parking space within her housing rent every month like everyone else in her complex.

So, as it ‘belongs’ to her, she believes she should get the final say in who can and cannot park in it. She said on Reddit: “I just moved and my neighbour started parking in my parking spot. My family doesn’t own a car but it would be nice if people would ask anyway.

“It kind of peeves me off because people assume because they don’t see something, that it’s not ever there. My sister’s ex and my boyfriend will drive over here and stay the night because we live far now and it grinds my gears knowing we can’t randomly do that when a car is in our paid designated parking spot.”

  • While she let it slide on Mother’s Day, she was disgusted to see a new car parked up in her space in the days after. She added: “Now tonight they’re parking a third car in our parking spot – like why? Why do you have three cars now in a community that clearly gives you two. Why can’t you ask? I feel like it’ll be a regular thing now.”

However, she says she is worried about confronting her neighbours about the parking situation, as she is currently waiting for another issue to be resolved and doesn’t want this to negatively impact the result.

“Only reason we haven’t done anything or asked the mum about it is because one of our neighbors called CPS on us due to arguing my sister did out in the parking lot. Now my mum and I are too scared to confront anyone to make us look even worse in this case that’s soon to be closed, and it’s awkward.

“It annoys me a little more because her son (who was very nice to us moving here) has recently let his friends throw garbage into our front lawn and stomp on it. Like why? We did nothing to you guys, we just moved here and now your mum takes our extra parking space without just asking us.”

Commenting on her post, one user said: “Every time a car parks in your spot that ins’t yours or a visitors, call for a to .and get cameras around your house.” Another user added: “Nah, call and get the car towed.” A third user said: “Put one of those tire clamps on it. They won’t park there again.”
