Google has just revealed some new features coming to Android later this year but there’s a simple way to the first to test them.

An official Android 15 launch is still a few months away but that doesn’t mean you can’t try all the new features right now. Google has given fans a closer look at what’s to come in the blockbuster new release with Android users about to be treated to upgrades such as spam call alerts which pop up if the device thinks the person on the other end of the line is fraudster.

Another change includes improved theft detection which automatically locks the screen should a crook snatch it from your hands.

There are better controls for the keyboard haptics, improved battery life due to the system being more efficient and Google is making it harder for malicious apps to hide on the device.

Android 15 is also promising a boost to cameras taking photos in low light plus there will be better options for sending texts, via satellite, when there’s no mobile signal.

One final bonus is an upgrade called Private Space. This lets you keep more sensitive data sperate to the rest of the phone. Everything you add to your Private Space is hidden behind an added layer of security so it can’t be accessed without a pin code, fingerprint or facial recognition.

So that’s some of the updates in Android 15 but how do you get it now? Google has now confirmed the release of its latest beta version which can be accessed on certain devices.

“The easiest way to get Android 15 on a supported Google Pixel device is to enroll your device in the Android Beta for Pixel program.
