Leyton High Road attack leaves man in hospital with head injury as road closed

A major road in Leyton is closed in both directions after a man was found with head injuries. The man was swiftly taken to hospital where we await an update on his condition.

Police were called to Leyton High Road before 8am this morning (May 19) to attend to a man with head injuries. The police believed that the man was assaulted. There have been no arrests so far and police are continuing their enquiries.

The A112 High Road Leyton both directions between Leyton Tube Station and Crownfield Road because of the incident and the road remains closed.

The police have asked for anyone with information to call 101, ref 1710/18may.
