Drivers on the M25 face long delays this morning (May 25) after an accident on the motorway. The anti-clockwise route is shut near Chertsey on the edge of Surrey.
According to traffic information service Inrix, there are severe delays at Junction 11, linking to A320 St Peters Way, with slow traffic heading back as far as Junction 18 at Chorley Wood.
However, there is also traffic building up on the clockwise side due to onlookers, and drivers are warned that there could be delays from Junction 9 at Leatherhead.
No information about the nature of the accident, or the number of vehicles involved, has been shared yet.
