A woman was left shocked by the behaviour of a man in her friend group after he began insulting her in a series of “aggressive” messages when she “rejected” him
There are often signs to tell us that a potential partner isn’t the right fit for us, but we may choose to ignore red flags in hopes of a future with them.
But that had been far from the case for one woman who realised her crush wasn’t who she thought he was after he began showing his true colours through text messages. The Reddit user revealed that she had met the bloke through mutual friends and they immediately hit it off. However, she was later left shocked by his ‘aggressive’ behaviour.’
When he asked her out, she quickly turned him down but he couldn’t take the rejection and started harassing her. In a social media post, the distraught woman wrote: “A few of us went to have dinner and he started joking that I don’t like him. Everyone turned to me and asked if that’s true and I said of course not.”
He sent her a series of appalling messages insulting not only her but those who are on the autism spectrum. He started by saying he ‘doesn’t understand’ her before calling her an ‘autistic frigid b****’, seemingly out of nowhere.
One of the text messages read: “Please, I know you hear it all the time but you’re very pretty. I know you when you’re not acting like an autistic frigid b****, respectfully.” And added: “You’ve been single all this time, it’s extremely suspicious actually. Why would a girl like you be single? What are you hiding?’
She immediately responded with: “I don’t understand what you want in all honesty.” The woman revealed that he was clearly in denial and believed he still had a shot with her although she had categorically rejected his advances.
In a boastful manner, he said: “And I’m what you want in a guy, correct? You’re joking. You’re performing. You’re putting on an act to ‘teach me a lesson’ or something stupid. I don’t for a second believe you.”
Social media fans were left shocked at the man’s behaviour. One Reddit user penned: “What a catch! So humble.” However, another person warned: “Be careful, this guy is giving off severe red flags. Please make sure you’re never alone with him, I’m glad you’ve shown everyone these messages. It’s just progressively getting worse!”
Another Redditor was outraged and said: ‘What the actual f*** is this guy’s problem?? I cannot imagine in a million years anyone being this outwardly arrogant and rude, and via text of all things, to someone they are interested in romantically!’
