Sky has slashed the price of its popular Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix bundle and thrown in an extra viewing freebie

Sky customers have been greeted with a surprise offer – the ‘Ultra HD’ add-on at no extra cost. It’s part of its popular Sky Stream, Sky TV, and Netflix bundle which is currently cut to a much cheaper £26 per month, a price that may convince many to upgrade.

The deal already allows Sky users to save £108 across the span of the 18-month contract, but with the addition of the free Ultra HD feature, there’s an extra £6 per month saving thrown in – that racks up to a total saving of £288 across the plan.

For anyone unaware, the package includes the plug-in Stream box (compatible with any telly as long as it has an HDMI port), a basic Netflix membership and Sky TV channels. And the free Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) feature, which gives viewers access to some shows in much snappier and sharper quality.

Tossed in without requiring any additional pennies, as clearly stated on the Sky website: “Includes Ultra HD on us”. The UHD feature gloriously enhances picture quality, promising to elevate your viewing experience. With four times more pixels than standard HD TV, viewers are in for a vivid delight when catching sports events, movies or any of their favourite television programmes, reports The Express.

The Sky Stream box, which doesn’t require any satellite dishes or installation fees, can be used on older TVs. This offers viewers without the latest smart TV a chance to enjoy better quality viewing for a fraction of the price it would cost if it was integrated into the TV, like the Sky Glass set.

The Sky Glass TV is often seen as a step up from its simple plug-in Stream box, offering all the features of its smart TV box and more, all within a smart device. It’s also another product that’s been slashed in price as part of its ongoing sale, it’s now available for a much cheaper £11 per month.

In other TV deals, Samsung has included its TV sets in its cashback sale, just in time for sports-loving fans and the upcoming 2024 Euro Championship. The Galaxy retailer will give shoppers up to £500 back in cash when they buy select models.

Amazon is also getting in on the TV price drop action with discounts on its Fire TVs. Often seen as a cheaper alternative to the Sky Glass set, shoppers can find discounts of up to £200 off Fire devices.
