Prince Harry is not at the wedding of the 7th Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, today and a royal expert has expressed how the prince will be feeling sad over the whole situation
Prince Harry will be feeling sad as old pal Hugh Grosvenor ties the knot today (Friday, June 7), according to a royal expert.
The Duke of Sussex won’t be attending the ceremony of Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, and his wife-to-be, Olivia Henson. Instead, Harry’s close pal will be joined by Prince William, with Harry nowhere in sight.
It’s a situation that an expert says will be leaving Harry feeling overlooked by his friend. Tom Quinn exclusively told the Mirror : “Harry will be watching Hugh Grosvenor‘s wedding with very mixed feelings.

“The fact that he couldn’t be there will be a painful reminder of all that he has lost. But then he knew that if he attended the wedding, he would come face to face with his brother, who is Grosvenor’s best man.”
Quinn continued: “Grosvenor’s wedding brought up other sadnesses for Harry – he had hoped to be asked to be best man but and now feels that once again he is overlooked in favour of his brother. At every turn he is made to feel second choice, second best. Always the spare.”
The service at Chester Cathedral today is expected to be the society wedding of the year. While Harry and Meghan won’t be in attendance, lots of other famous faces have been invited, including Prince William. Known to his friends as ‘Hughie’, the 33-year-old is the richest Brit under 40, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, and has an estimated £10bn inherited wealth. But it’s not just the Duke’s eye-watering fortune generating a buzz around the event, instead it’s his longstanding links to the Royal Family.
As well as being pals with Harry and William, King Charles is Hugh’s godfather with Hugh’s father having been a confidante of the King before his passing in 2016. Hugh is also a godfather himself, both to Prince William’s heir and the future king, Prince George, and to Prince Harry’s son Archie.
