Newlywed Duke and Duchess of Westminster have broken their silence since their nuptials with stunning photos of their big day.

Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson tied the knot in a lavish affair at Chester Cathedral on Friday which was attended by the likes of Prince William and Princess Eugenie. The couple issued their first statement on Saturday following the wedding as they thanked people for their well-wishes.

Sharing pictures from the big day, the couple issued a statement. Thanking those who made their wedding day “so memorable”, the couple said they were “incredibly touched by everyone’s amazing support and warm wishes”. They said: “We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us yesterday and want to extend a special thank you to those in Chester who helped make our day so memorable.

“We have been incredibly touched by everyone’s amazing support and warm wishes.” Thousands lined the streets of Chester city centre on Friday morning as guests turned out, followed by the Duke and the bridal party.

Olivia wore a stunning, simple dress by London designer Emma Victoria Payne, incorporating floral motifs and edgings from her great-great-grandmother’s veil from around 1880. As she entered the cathedral, the veil blew in the wind, prompting gasps from the crowd as it fluttered dramatically. Her bouquet was made of flowers picked from the gardens of the duke’s family home, Eaton Hall.
