Fast food giant McDonald’s is debuting a cult-fave item in the UK just in time for summer and foodies say it ‘looks amazing’. However, the new addition will only be available for a limited time

McDonald’s is dropping a staple from across the pond in time for summer – but it won’t be a permanent fixture.

The fast food chain revamped its menu last month, launching a new Hat Trick burger featuring three beef patties, cheese and grilled onions. The Chicken Sharebox and iconic Mozzarella Bites have also made a triumphant return. For dessert, McDonald’s has debuted a new Skittles McFlurry as well as the previously-axed Galaxy Caramel McFlurry.

If none of these take your fancy, don’t worry. The Mirror can confirm a new item currently popular in the US is going to make a special appearance this month, and foodies are going absolutely wild.

The Oreo Frappe will be hitting stores on June 26, but will only be available until September 3. The vanilla flavour base is blended with ice and Oreo pieces before getting topped with whipped cream and, you guessed it, more Oreo.

Priced at £3.09 for a regular and £3.39 for a large, McDonald’s says the beverage is the ‘perfect sweet drink to cool down with this summer’. It’s clear the new item will go down a treat with sweet-tooth customers.
