There is a touching meaning behind the Father’s Day photograph shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales of William and their children, body language Judi James has said

An expert has said there was a hidden meaning behind a photo shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales for Father’s Day.

The royals shared a photo of William, Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte arm in arm and looking out to the sea on the Norfolk coast. Body language guru Judi James said the image was “touching.”

“This is such a touching and telling Enid Blyton-style childhood pose from Kate and William to celebrate their view of fatherhood,” Judi said. “The choice of setting suggests calm isolation and by looking out to sea they project a message of looking into their future, enjoyed as a casual and non-royal-looking family group.”

Judi also said: “Photographed from the back view, they avoid actually communicating with the camera. It suggests this is an intimate and loving moment caught rather than a ‘show pony’ one posed to please the viewer.”

It is the first ever message issued by the sibling trio, who added a cute message which also contained a heart emoji. It read: “We love you, Papa. Happy Father’s Day G, C & L.” The photo was credited to the Princess of Wales, leading well-wishers to comment on the post.

One person said: “The sweetest picture ever! Happy Father’s Day William, thank you for sharing this lovely picture with us… As usual, The Princess takes the best pictures of her family.” Another added: “Oh my gosh. Beautiful photo” Kate said earlier this year, following questions regarding an edited photograph that was shared on Mother’s Day, that she was a keen “amateur photographer.”

Prince William shared his own moving post in tribute to his father, revealing his affectionate nickname for the monarch. In a social media post, the Prince of Wales said “Happy Father’s Day, Pa. W” and attached a photo of a young William next to the future king, who had a small football at his feet.

The Royal Family’s X account also shared footage of Charles and his late father, Prince Philip, sourced from the BFI archive.

“Wishing all Dads, and those who may be missing their parents today, a relaxing Father’s Day,” the royal family’s official account said. Set to piano music, the footage showed several scenes of Philip and Charles together. In one clip Philip lifts baby Charles out of a pram, in another, the pair are seen sailing together.
