Live Brixton shooting updates after young man shot on estate rushed to hospital

Met Police officers are hunting for a gunman who shot a 22-year-old on a Brixton estate. Officers were called to Carrara Close, on the Somerleyton Estate at 1.43am on Friday (June 21) to reports of a shooting.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics also attended and found the young man man with gunshot injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains.

A Met Police spokesperson said his condition is not life threatening. They added: “No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.”
