Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are back for 10 brand-new episodes of Disney Plus’ acclaimed dramedy

The Bear will soon be back on screens as the acclaimed series is set to return for a third season. Launching later this month, the latest instalment of Christopher Storer’s comedy-drama will see Carmy out of the freezer and battling for a Michelin star for his newly reopened restaurant.

The series centres around a Chicago sandwich shop turned restaurant and has become revered for its often high-intensity writing, directing and acting and has won over legions of fans. The Bear has earned its status as one of the most highly regarded shows in recent years since it debuted in 2022, having won 10 Emmys and four Golden Globes for its first season.

It was also named an AFI Television Program of the Year for two years running and has a 99 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, while its first season boasts a perfect 100. Announcing the show’s third season last year, President of FX Entertainment Nick Grad hailed the series as a cultural phenomenon.

He said: “The Bear, which wowed audiences in its first season only to achieve even greater heights in season two, has become a cultural phenomenon. We’re so proud to partner with Christopher Storer and the rest of the creative team, as well as the brilliant cast. What they and the crew have done is truly remarkable.”

Disney+ now costs as little as £4.99 a month for the Standard with Ads plan, but members can get 12 months for the price of 10 by paying for a year upfront on the ad-free Standard or Premium plans.

Disney+ is the only place to stream epic shows including Shōgun and Welcome to Wrexham, plus blockbuster franchises like Star Wars and Marvel.

Here’s everything you need to know about The Bear season three.

What is The Bear season three about?

The Bear follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a young fine-dining chef who returns home to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop after his brother’s death. Season two saw Carmy – along with sous-chef Sydney and ‘cousin’ Richie – transform the former beef stand into a fine dining establishment named The Bear.

Season three will join Carmy and the team as they do what it takes to elevate the restaurant to the highest level, all while doing their best just to stay in business. It’s a losing battle every single day in the restaurant business, as Carmy pushes himself harder than ever and demands excellence from his crew who do their best to match his intensity.

Their quest for culinary excellence will propel the crew to new levels and stress the bonds that hold the restaurant together.

The Bear season three will debut on Thursday, June 27. All 10 episodes will be available to stream from launch, joining seasons one and two which are streaming here.
