A bride has been left in a ‘woman’s worst nightmare’ after she was sent messages revealing that her bridesmaid is in love with her husband-to-be – but he won’t marry his bride unless his best female friend is still invited
A bride has been left in a “every woman’s worst nightmare” after her friend confessed her love for her fiancé.
When it comes to brides and grooms selecting their bridal parties for their wedding day, careful consideration is often taken as the roles as groomsmen, bridesmaids, flower girls, and page boys, are seen as an honour. Many people cannot wait for the day they will ask their best friend to stand by their side as they say ‘I do’, but imagine if that special moment was ruined by betrayal.
‘George’ and ‘Ellie’ have been best friends since they were little. So when it came to his wedding day, he wanted her to be a party of it, and have a special role. But the bride has been left horrified after being sent voice notes in a phone message, which revealed her bridesmaid Ellie is in love with her fiancé.
The scenario has been a top search on TikTok recently as a number of people have spoken out about the situation. A woman reenacted the scenario in a skit via @ultimatebykomi, plus New York mum and chef, J Anderson, also known as @chefjuicyjay on the video platform where she often discusses relationship scenarios and pop culture, shared what happened.
“Ellie the bridesmaid is in love with the groom. The groom won’t uninvited her to the wedding and won’t marry his fiancé if she’s not there – I think the bride should run,” J Anderson explained.
She added: “Before the wedding, somebody sent a recording of Ellie confessing her love for George to the fiancée. She was saying things like they’re soul mates and how much she loves him and how he and his bride-to-be aren’t meant to be together.”
Flabbergasted by what she just heard, the wife-to-be called her fiancé to tell him about what happened. The TikTok user added: “So the bride-to-be decides to call her finance George. She tells him everything in this recording, in fact she tells him a softer version of the recording, he immediately dismisses it.”
George was reportedly speaking about how important Ellie is to him and his family – despite the bride insisting she should no longer be part of the wedding party because of the “messy” scenario.
“You can hear George panic over the phone and then he says if she’s not a part of the wedding party, there’s going to be no wedding,” the content creator explained. She continued: “The bride-to-be is shocked and if I were her I would hold him to his word because there is no way I would let someone like that be a party of my wedding party.
“I would not let my husband or husband-to-be undermine my feelings that way, because that’s going to be dragged out through the entire marriage. No woman outside of his family should be held above his wife in any aspect of regard, whatsoever. That is insane to me.”
Hundreds of people commented on the video, which raked in over 500,000 views. One person advised the bride to “call the whole thing off”, adding: “Every red flag is flying from him and Ellie. Let them have each other.”
Another added: “Sounds like the wedding should be called off he clearly wants to have his cake and eat it too.” One other said: “He chose Ellie, over his fiancé. Wedding, would be cancelled. Him and Ellie, can be together.”
Another commented: “I wouldn’t be getting married to someone who doesn’t take my concerns to heart from the first telling and remedy it immediately.” “I really hope she walked away from that man,” wrote another.
“Girl I just saw that video and I’ve never seen a bigger red flag,” added another.
