Yes, you can slather your thighs in Sudocrem when you get home, but most of us would rather avoid the painful feeling in the first place. Luckily, Primark have brought out their budget summer saviour for people who are sick of that stinging sensation.
Wearing shorts under your outfits is a great idea, but if you want to wear something short or you’re worried you’ll get too hot with another layer underneath your clothes, this £3.50 solution with rave reviews could help.
TikTok user @laoiseallenx said she’d tried the PS… Anti-Chafe Body Balm Stick and it was perfect for people who get “pain” when they’re “sweaty” and “walking in the sun”. She said it was money “well-spent”, saying it’s the “one thing” that she wouldn’t travel without now. “Passport and this and I would be just fine”, she gushed.
Laoise said she’d never experienced a “holiday without that pain [of chafing]” and she’d often had to wear long trousers as the feeling was so bad – but now she is pain-free.
One person asked: “What section is it in?”, and she replied: “Beauty! With all the skincare bits! In another video @unpakked shared where the product was, although the packaging may vary.
On Primark’s website, the product is described as a “multi-purpose balm that’s designed to be an anti-friction moisturiser.” It also says: “It’s formulated with grapeseed oil and Vitamin E, while a light watermelon fragrance adds a refreshing element to the balm.”
In the video, people also made other anti-chafe suggestions, including Asda’s liquid talc, which costs just £1.50, and using shorts.
