Cold, comforting and flavoursome, they just help to bring you back to life when you feel tired, hot and in need of a sweet kick. But it turns out we may have been pouring them wrong throughout our entire lives.
A savvy woman on TikTok revealed we’re all doing something wrong with our bottles, as there’s a way to pour drinks into glasses correctly. Look away if you gradually pour a drink into a glass bit by bit as this life hack will truly blow your mind.
In the clip, Taylor Watson, known as taylormakesvideos, is seen pouring a bottle of Coca Cola into glass, but she does so using a nifty trick. She starts by putting a glass on top of the opened bottle and tipping it upside down.
Then Taylor allows the Cola to start releasing from the bottle a little before she raises it gradually as the glass fills. Unbelievably, this enables the entire glass to be filled up, and you don’t end up with a big frothy top either.
Since Taylor shared the video, it’s received thousands of views, and hundreds of people commented on it too. People admitted they do the same, but advised others to clean the bottle before trying it out.
One person said: “This is actually kind of smart.” Another wrote: “This is the proper way to pour Guinness too.”
A third replied: “Did this at poker night. People were amazed. I’ve known this since I was a kid.”
Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “This is what schools need to focus on.”
Even though a few people admitted they’d seen the trick before, some noted there are other ways you can pour drinks efficiently too.
One said: “I just go with the tilt and pour.” Another also chimed in with: “I always pour it on the side. Maybe it’s because I’m used to pouring beer.”
Whatever your thoughts on the quirky technique, it seems a pretty cool hack to try out. After all, it could make your life a lot easier if it works.
