A manhunt is now underway for the main suspect – Kyle Clifford – in the Bushey crossbow “murders”. Hertfordshire Police officers rushed to a home in Bushey, at around 7pm yesterday. All three were pronounced dead at the scene having been found seriously injured.
This morning (Wednesday, July 10), the force said it has been searching throughout the night for 26-year-old Kyle Clifford, from Enfield, who is wanted in connection with the incident. Herts Police say Mr Clifford could be in Hertfordshire or North London and have warned people not to approach him as he may still be armed.
Hertfordshire police and crime commissioner Jonathan Ash-Edwards said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the women who have been shockingly killed in this terrible incident in Bushey. It will no doubt send shockwaves through the local community and across Hertfordshire.

When the ‘murders’ happened
Kyle Clifford, 26, is thought to have killed a mum and her two daughters with a crossbow yesterday (July 9). The trio were 25, 28 and 61 years old and were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Where did the ‘murders’ happen?

A 46-year-old local, who did not wish to share their name but works in the media, told the PA news agency: “It was between 6.30pm and 7pm last night and it literally just sounded like kids, somebody, screaming, and then it was more shrill and I was like, ‘that’s definitely a woman screaming’, and within 15 minutes, it was absolute chaos.
Who are the victims?
The three women ‘murdered’ with a crossbow in their home in Bushey have been identified. Carol Hunt, Hannah Hunt and Louise Hunt, aged 61, 28 and 25 respectively, died following the attack in Ashlyn Close yesterday evening (Tuesday, July 9). They are reportedly the wife and two daughters of BBC Five Live racing commentator John Hunt, reports The Telegraph.
Who is Kyle Clifford?
Very little is know about Kyle Clifford or the motivation behind the ‘murders’. However the 26-year-old is the main suspect in the Bushey ‘murders’ and is thought to be armed with a crossbow. If seen, under no circumstance should he be approached.

What the Chief Superintendent has said
Addressing Clifford directly earlier, Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson said: “Kyle, if you are seeing or hearing this, please make contact with the police.” A resident of Ashlyn Close in Bushey where police are investigating the murders of three women said they heard screaming on Tuesday evening as the “absolutely traumatic” incident unfolded.
The 46-year-old, who did not wish to share their name but works in the media, told the PA news agency: “It was between 6.30pm and 7pm last night and it literally just sounded like kids, somebody, screaming, and then it was more shrill and I was like, ‘that’s definitely a woman screaming’, and within 15 minutes, it was absolute chaos.
“We had armed police running down, screaming ‘stay in your house’…. they shut us off and basically put us into lockdown.”
The same resident, 46, said multiple ambulances, helicopters and “at least 16 police cars” arrived at the scene quickly. They also saw armed police going from house to house to question locals, request doorbell camera footage and tell them to stay indoors.
