Jose Mourinho has become the first celebrity to be replicated as an AI chat tool, offering ‘limitless’ responses to fans.
A team of 100 people worked on creating the virtual ‘Special One’, filming hours of conversation about his career, football and personal life.
His voice, mannerisms and expressions were then processed through eight stages of software to produce an AI-powered clone of the former Chelsea boss.
The AI system can respond to users’ questions and provide a limitless range of personalised responses. This is the first instance of AI technology being used to mimic the personality of a major talent in this way.
The amusing application was created by Snickers and can be accessed on smartphones via its ‘Own Goal’ page.
Fans are urged to share their funniest blunders to receive a video message from the gaffer, which can then be sent to their mates via WhatsApp.
Mourinho expressed his excitement at partnering with the chocolate brand to bring the technology to life.
The AI utilised unique ‘chain of thought’ architecture to make the responses as ‘Jose-like’ as possible. It was trained to not only look and sound like the real Jose, but think like him too.
Each response is tailored to the individual user, incorporating their names, their own goals and the AI-driven reactions of Jose.
