A wave of hot weather is due to hit London later this week, with temperatures set to hit 30C. After a lacklustre start to the summer, the mercury is due to rise, with clear skies and lots of sun forecast from tomorrow, Thursday July 18 to Sunday July 21 when the temperatures start going down again.
According to the Met Office, it’s due to reach 32C on Friday, July 19, with sun forecast all day. It’s also going to feel just as hot too, as there is due to be little breeze to counteract the hot day.
It’s due to start getting warm early in the morning, with 20C temperatures expected at 4am before rising to 25C by 10am. It’ll hit 31C at around 4pm, and won’t start cooling down much until around 10pm, with a forecasted temperature of 25C.

But it won’t be the first hot day during the mini heatwave. Tomorrow (July 18) is expected to hit 29C, with sunny intervals forecast all day. The Met Office has said: “A fine day with plenty of sunshine, perhaps hazy at times. Warm or very warm with light winds. Maximum temperature 28 °C.”
And on Saturday, July 20, highs of 28C have been predicted. The Met Office’s outlook for Friday to Sunday says: “Settled weather with plenty of hazy sunshine over the coming days, staying dry aside from Saturday where there’s a risk of showers, perhaps thundery. Warm or very warm, locally hot.”
