A woman’s kind message urging others to rock bikinis this summer has gone viral, amassing over 21,000 likes as she told people to ’embrace’ their ‘beauty’ in the hotter weather
Summer can bring many people out in hot sweats – and not just because temperatures are rising.
For many, the thought of rocking a bikini is impossible, simply because they’ve seen too many filtered, airbrushed pictures on social media. But every single body deserves to wear a bikini at the beach, and one woman has posted an unfiltered two-piece snap to urge others to do the same thing.
Molly Ava, a fitness instructor who posts on Instagram as @mollyavafit, shared that it doesn’t matter where you are in your journey – you are worthy – and she urged people to swipe across on her Insta post for “a very important reminder” as she posed unfiltered in a floral blue bikini.
Molly captioned her inspirational post: “Me and my gorgeous bikini body. There’s no goal weight, clothes size or flat tummy that you need to reach to feel worthy of wearing a bikini and embracing your beauty. Swipe for a VERY important reminder – DO IT OR ELSE.” The message at the end of the post then read: “u cute lil s**t”.
In the comments, others said they “needed” this message, and totally agreed with it. One wrote: “YES!! I needed this for so many years of my life. I thought that viewing different things about my body as ‘problems’ was normal. I thought it was healthy to want to change different things about my body.
“But then HELLO! My body does SO MUCH for me, why am I choosing to bully it?! I am so grateful that these days we have influences like Molly to show us a new and healthy way to live and start to LOVE ourselves! Anyone else relate to this?”
Others said Molly was “stunning”, “beautiful”, with someone sharing: “You make me feel so normal. I’m so appreciative! I always felt my body was different than everyone else.”
Another social media user penned: “Girl you make me feel so much more confident. I never wear bikinis (I’ve had four kids and I’m self-conscious about my stomach). But seeing you just be so confident makes me want to live the same way! Gorgeous!” Another added that she was “grateful” she’d found Molly’s account on Instagram.
