A savvy cleaning hack which has been shared on YouTube will make your patio furniture look brand new. And it’s all to do with using an item you probably have at home
There are loads of cleaning hacks out there that can save you heaps of time and money.
Now that summer’s in full swing, chances are you’re getting a lot more use out of your garden furniture. And if you’ve got metal pieces, you’ll be all too familiar with the headache that is rust.
But fear not, because there’s a nifty little cleaning hack which could sort you right out and it doesn’t require much elbow grease either. Plus, it involves something you’ve probably got sitting around at home.
The experts at metals4u suggest using car wax to help polish your furniture – and keep it clean for longer. This is because wax buffs up the metal and uses a water-resistant coat over it to stop scratches and rust in their tracks.
Now the gurus spoke in light of one YouTube video which shows a woman showing how car wax can bring back the sparkle on your garden chairs and tables.
YouTube sensation Kim on a Whim showed off the stark difference this easy peasy trick can make. Her video caption teased: “Let’s see if this works. Restore patio furniture.”
She kicks off by giving us a gander at her patio table pre-wax. Then she whips out the wax and gets stuck in. Kim grabs a rag and starts buffing the furniture, and as you can tell from the footage, it looks fairly simple.
Later in the vid, she revealed the cracking results. After she shared the clip to her 1,000 followers, many fled to the comments section to have their say.
One chimed in: “Hi Kim! That worked really well on your table. Definitely brought it back to life and was well worth the effort. Great tip so thanks for sharing.”
Someone else appreciated the effort and added: “Great work thanks for sharing wonderful video stay blessed and best wishes from Saudi Arabia.”
Meanwhile, a third person stated: “Looks good, the wax should protect it now too. I might need to try that on our little bistro table. Every time I wipe it off some paint comes off on the rag, ugh.”
