Prince William and Prince George are known to share a very special bond, and, as per a fascinating new royal biography, the youngster follows his father’s example in an adorable way
Prince William knows just what it’s like to be high up in the Royal family’s line of succession, which of course comes with the pressures of growing up knowing you will one day be monarch.
It’s therefore unsurprising the Prince of Wales shares a uniquely special bond with his eldest son Prince George who, at just 11 years old, is second in line to the throne. Having navigated a childhood in the spotlight, it’s understood that William wants to protect his children as much as possible, and is keen for them to be as ‘carefree’ as possible. As detailed in Robert Jobson’s new biography Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince William makes sure to spend quality time with George, and it’s clear the eldest Wales child looks up to his father in a very sweet way.
In a passage which has been published by the Mail Online, royal correspondent Jobson revealed that William is focused on being ‘a hands-on dad’ and wants George, Charlotte and Louis to enjoy the ‘kind of carefree childhood that the Middletons provided for Catherine, rather than the constant dramas of his own’.
Jobson continued: “George, who insists on dressing like his father when he accompanies him, is even beginning to copy William’s mannerisms. If he ever appears awkward or overwhelmed, his dad is always close by to put a protective hand on his shoulder.” The eye-opening biography, which you can purchase from August 1, tells ‘the full story of how Catherine, the Princess of Wales, became the widely admired woman she is today, offering a closer look at her life inside a ‘modern-day fairytale’.
According to the biography description: “Her self-deprecation, willingness to laugh at herself, solid work ethic – along with her husband, William, warmth, and accessibility – this Royal Family’s dynamic duo have become the most popular members of the Royal Family. But it’s not come without its fair share of commentary and scandal, particularly with recent revelations on the relationship of the ‘Fab Four’ with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as well as her own health scares.” You can now pre-order a hardcover copy of Catherine, the Princess of Wales for £15 on Amazon.
