Three people have been rushed to hospital after an accident that shut a busy road this afternoon (Monday, July 29). The A20 Eltham Road was closed in both directions from Ravens Way (Kidbrooke) to Horn Park Lane (Lee) but has since reopened.

Two more people were assessed by paramedics at the scene.

There is also congestion to Sutcliffe Park and Lee Green, reports traffic and travel monitoring website Inrix.

It has left the following London buses on diversion: 122, 178, 321, and B16.

There are delays in place so only head through if necessary and leave with plenty of time.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.32pm on Monday July 29, to reports of a road traffic collision in Eltham Road, SE12. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews.

“Our crews assessed five patients at the scene, before taking three to hospital, while two were discharged at the scene.”
