A travel agent has revealed a “hidden gem” holiday hotspot which has crystal clear waters, stunning beaches and affordable prices.
Mercedes Zach, who works for the company ASAP Tickets, has decided to lift the lid after being in the industry for 20 years. She says that while people’s go-to destination is usually Rome, Barcelona or New York. There is another location which should be put on everyone’s bucket lists.
The vacation expert, who has travelled all over the world, is encouraging tourists to jet off to Destin, in Florida, the US. According to Mercedes, the city offers a luxury holiday experience for a bargain price. Destin is situated in the northwest of Florida and features stunning Emerald Coast beaches, and an array of golf courses. Mercedes says it boasts a similar atmosphere to Malibu or Miami whilst being more affordable. On top of the cheaper prices, the destination is meant to be warm all year round.
The city also has a white sandy coastline with beautiful palm trees with less people around compared to other major cities, reports Express. The pro said: “Many say that Destin gives out Caribbean vibes without having to take a flight to any of the exotic islands outside the US.” She shared that you can book an extravagant hotel for less than £100 a night. The expert added: “Plus, there are plenty of exclusive beach rentals to choose from for as little as £80 per night.

There are also a number of marine animal experiences on offer such as dolphin encounters close to sandy beaches. On the website, Destin-Fort Walton Beach, it states: “Destin-Fort Walton Beach has the widest variety of fish species in the area and the nation’s largest charter fishing fleet.”
