Do you want to get rich fast?

Well according to one TikTok user, all you need is a series of rare coins in your pocket. It turns out specific gems in your wallet are worth more than face value, take the Kew Gardens 50p coin for example. But now there’s a number of £2 coins to keep an eye on.

Posting on the platform to his 172,100 followers, user @CoinCollectingWizard claimed you could get “rich from UK change”. He said in a recent clip: “Look out for these £2 coins. This coin launched to mark 100 years since the First World War. The error version is missing the words £2 from the head side.

“The 2014 coin was launched nine years ago to mark 100 years since the start of the First World War. It features an image of Lord Kitchener, a prominent war figure who appeared on government propaganda posters. Only the version with the missing wording is worth this kind of money around £1,000+.”

Then he described another coin which has a “rare fried egg” appearance. He claimed: “A design error on some of these £2 coins has left them looking like a runny fried egg as the middle has split out onto the outer rim. This is one you should definitely look out for on all your coins.”

And finally, a third coin from 2014 features an error on the front with the wrong inscription. According to him, this one could sell for around £30, if not slightly more. Since he shared the clip, it scooped 160 likes and dozens of comments. One said: “I mean I wouldn’t mind being rich,” while another gushed: “Great video.”

Someone else said: “Good work deserves an appreciation, my mind won’t rest if I refuse to do this. The way you liberated me still amazed me until this day, thanks.”
