Three people have been arrested after a huge weekend of protesting in London. One person was arrested for making a ‘nazi salute’ towards a counter-protester, and another for supporting a proscribed terrorist organisation. One further arrest was also made for the use of an offensive placard.
The two main protests were a Palestine Solidarity Campaign march and an ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration. The PSC planned to march for the 17th time in the centre of London, starting in Park Lane and ending at Whitehall. The march started at 12pm and was due to end at 4.30pm.
At the same time, ‘Enough is Enough’ held a static demonstration along the route of the PSC march. However, the Met Police had said that the Enough is Enough campaigners must remain in their static space for their whole protest.
