Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall seems to have made his relationship with glamorous Ellie Dolan official.
The 42-year-old actor, known for his role as Tyrone Dobbs since 1998, took to Instagram over the weekend to post an adorable photo of himself with his 11-year-old daughter Sienna and rumoured girlfriend Ellie. The picture was simply captioned “Friday” along with a heart emoji.
Additionally, Alan shared a charming video from Ellie’s Instagram, capturing their day out at the races, where Ellie tagged him and included a heart emoji.
Reports suggest that the pair met at Marriott Worsley Park golf club, where Alan is a member and Ellie works.
A source told the Mirror over the duo’s “serious” relationship: “Alan is really happy. Ellie is a great girl and they have lots of common. And she gets on so well with Sienna, which is so important to Alan. Sienna is his world.”
Alan’s representative has been contacted for comment.
This development follows Alan’s split from fellow Coronation Street actress Tisha Merry in 2024 after a five-year relationship.
Before his relationship with Tisha, Alan was married to actress Lucy-Jo Hudson, known for her roles in Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, from 2009 to 2018, and they co-parent daughter Sienna.
Last year, a source told The Sun of Alan’s split with Tisha: “Alan and Tisha had a lot of love for each other and had really similar interests, enjoying socialising and going on holiday together.
“But they started to drift apart and feel the pressure of making their relationship work get on top of them. They realised they weren’t on the same page and splitting up felt like the best option.
“They’ve been focusing on themselves and surrounding themselves with their own friends.”
Meanwhile, just last year, Alan took part in the 24th series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, securing a spot in sixth place.
While joining in on the ITV jungle programme, Alan shared insights into his personal and dating life.
On one occasion, when fellow campmates discussed single life and the use of dating apps, Alan chimed in with: “I love what I’ve got, even now I’m on my own I love just being dad.”
He added: “I’ve never done dating apps. I don’t even know what I’d do!”
