If you’re looking for a pair of sandals that are comfy enough to wear all day and still look cute on holiday, Reef’s sandals could be your answer thanks to their great arch support
One of the best parts about summer is being able to pull out your favourite sandals, and the best pair can be worn with everything from jeans and shorts to floaty dresses. However often sandals might look great, but end up rubbing or leaving your feet aching and sore thanks to a lack of support, which makes them unwearable if you’re planning on being on your feet all day.
However shoppers have found the perfect pair that balances both looks and comfort. The £65 Reef Cushion Rem Hi have gotten an impressive 4.7 star rating from reviewers who raved about how “comfortable and cute” they are thanks to their great arch support and design.

The Cushion Rem Hi sandals have a cage-like design, with adjustable straps across the ankles and toes so you can get a snug, secure fit. The backstrap is elasticated, giving you some added movement and stretch when you walk to prevent rubbing or blisters, and the straps are made from soft webbing which stops any chafing or stiffness.
They have a comfortable platform-style sole with Reef’s signature cushioned, bouncy footbed that gives you some added spring and absorbs shock while you walk. It’s also moulded to give additional arch support and heel cupping, which stops those achey soles you often get with flat-footed sandals.
The sandals have a very similar look to the iconic Teva Women’s Flatform Universal, which are equally priced at £65. However the Teva’s have a more sporty look, with a foam sole rather than a cork footbed which gives them a more casual look, compared to Reef’s more polished style.
You can also shop similar styles at Hush Puppies, where the Tan Uplift Quarter Strap Sandals are £85 and made from real leather with a bouncy cushioned sole. Alternatively, FitFlop’s Adjustable Webbing/Leather Back-Strap Sandals are £80 and have a similar sporty look, with the brand’s signature ultra-comfy and supportive soles.
However, Reef shoppers seemingly can’t get enough of the Cushion Rem Hi sandals, with one writing: “This shoe is unbelievably comfortable. I am blown away and so happy. I have very messed up feet with years of injuries and surgeries so finding cute shoes that support you are amazing. I cannot rave about these more”
Another agreed: “I have arthritis problems I walk a lot on my vacation. No complaints the sandals were helping me a lot. Highly recommended.”
Some faced issues with the fit, with one saying: “I wear size 10-11 shoes. My feet are very narrow and bony. The plastic triangle that connects the straps near the toes rubbed uncomfortably against the bones of my feet. They were very cute and comfortable otherwise. I wish they worked better for my feet!”
Whilst another added: “These are adorable shoes but the back strap being elastic makes them odd to walk in; as if back strap too loose. Will return but still love Reef shoes.”
Others loved them, though, raving: “I got these a year ago because I needed a cute sandal with good arch support that didn’t look like an old lady shoe. This has been SO comfy and cute and I am excited to see all the colorways available this year! I wear a 10-10.5 in women’s ultras, but usually size down to a 9 in sandals. A 9 fits perfect in these. I wear a 9 in women’s chacos as well for reference. Also I usually run wide, so the adjustable strap is perfect.”
The Cushion Rem Hi sandals come in four different colours and styles – black, cream, pink and crochet – and are available in sizes 3 to 9. Reef suggests they generally fit true to size, but suggests to size up if you’re between sizes.
