The latest weather map has forecasted exactly when the capital will reach a scorching 25C, as the BBC forecasts 14 days of sun. Forecasters at NetWeather predict that at 3pm on Wednesday, May 21, mercury will hit a scorching 25C.
It comes as the BBC predicts temperatures will be scorching between today (Monday, March 12) and Sunday, March 25. In contrast, parts of Essex will be as cool as 14C on the hot day.
It comes after the UK saw its warmest start to May since records began, with highs of 29.3C in Kew Gardens on Thursday, May 1. The Environment Agency later warned that England risks summer droughts after the driest start to spring in 69 years has led to low reservoir levels, struggling crops and wildfires.
